    Hi there,

I’ve a problem with the search for numbers (it seems to be a numbers problem). I have a search for custom post types (“produkt”) and need to find specific posts of that post type by a number (CAS-Nr.). So I set up a search for that specific post type. The post which should be found is named/titled “Acrylol Chloride (CAS-Nr.: 814-68-6)”. If I search for “Acrylol” the search works perfectly, but I also need to search by CAS-Nr. So if I search for “814-68-6” I got no results.

Could you help me with this? I think I just missed a configuration but I can’t find it.

    Find the sample search-page here:
    The sample post is here:

    Thanks a lot

Thank you for the detailed ticket. I found the issue immediately. It was the fulltext search. MySQL fulltext search has this “feature” where it ignores common words and stuff. I guess that numbers are no exception, so the database just simply ignored the numbers in the search term. I turned off the fulltext options under the “Fulltext search settings” submenu. It should work properly now.
