Hi,
We bought your plugin a few months ago on Envato and we love its capability to index the contents of PDFs. Since we plan to revamp the structure of the uploads directory in our WP installation from monthly directories to one directory for all PDFs, we were wondering how that would affect their indexing.
We would not add the files to the site via the Media Library but place them in a sub directory of the uploads directory. Can Ajax Search Pro find the files as long as they are in that directory?
If not, can you tell us the prodecure to get these PDF indexed, without upload or attachment via the WordPress media uploader?
Thank you very much in advance for your reply!
Sincerely,
Andy

Unfortunately that is not possible. The location of the files on the server directory does not matter, but they have to added to the media library. That is important, because with that the files are registered to the wp_posts table as media file types, so the plugin can query them and request the detais via WordPress core functions.
Best,
