Hi,
On submitting the form, how do I make sure that the selected values remain selected in the dropdowns?
Thank You !
May 8, 2020 at 1:15 pm #27195Hi,
If both forms have the same ID (same search instance), then it should work automatically. For different search instances unfortuantely this is not possible.

Thank you for your quick response.
Both forms have the same ID. But the selected values can’t remain selected.
What should I confirm?Sincerely,

I run a few tests on our test enviromnent, but it works correctly. It is very likely an unknown issue then. Can you please share a URL where I can test this, as well as temporary FTP and back-end access, so I can debug the problem. Thank you!

Clicking on a result is a page redirection, and not a form submit. Submitting happens when you hit enter on the input or click the magnifier icon – but clicking on a result will redirect to the individual, single result page.

May 15, 2020 at 4:21 am #27350Oh, OK. You mean that clicking on a result isn’t a form submit. Sorry, I was confused.
However, don’t you think that users often click on a result? I think users will be in trouble if the settings are reset each time.Sincerely,
May 15, 2020 at 12:30 pm #27366Hi,
Of course they do, but clicking on a result takes you to the result, not to the search submission page. Usually result pages does not contain a search bar, so this haven’t come up until now as a request.

May 16, 2020 at 9:47 pm #27405Hi,
That’s unfortunate. I will try to keep the settings by using session in JavaScript.
If it’s alright with you, I’d like to improve it in future updates.
I am grateful for what you did for me.Sincerely,
