Hello! I am trying to figure out how to limit my sources to a specific category, within a specific custom post type. I do not want to turn on any front-end filters for the user to choose themselves…this is just supposed to be a simple search bar within that particular category. Here is a page where that bar is used: https://c2fo.com/vendors/
We want to do another bar identical to this one but only searches among the posts that have “featured” as a category. Thanks for your help!

On the General Options -> Sources panel, choose the post types you need, then check the instructions here on how to limit the results to a specific categor only.
These should do the trick for you hopefully.
