Hello,
I really like your plugin but I have some issues.
1. First, when it’s activated, the search post and page function of wordpress in the admin doesn’t work.
2. When I try a search with only these…
Exact matches only
Search in title
Search in content
Search in posts
Search in pagesThe only results I have are those with the keyword in the content. Nothing for search in title, posts. So only way to get some results is when “Search in content” and “Search in pages” are both selected on front end. I get more results only if “Search in attachment titles?” is ON from the admin. But the attachments are only my photos as well.
3.
A) In theme options, there’s a couple of things that I can’t customize. I have a white border around each thumbnail ( I use isotopic). I can’t change the color.
B) I’m unable to add some space between each thumbnail (right, left, bottom etc..) like I see on your demos.
C) Unable to modify the dropdown tick background color.4. When results are attachments (photos) and I click to see the picture bigger, often (not always but most of the time) the bottom (orange) bar who is under the footer of my theme pages appear over the picture. (Search in attachment titles must be activated in admin as well to get pictures in search results).
That’s all (for the moment ) ;).
it’s possible that the plugin will be desactivated when you will visit my site because I need the search admin often. You can activate if it’s the case.
The page where you can see the plugin front end is: http://www.submissionfight.com/chercher-un-combattant/
For test, you can try these keywords:
Zachary Unterstab
Ritchy KahalΓ©
Nicolas ExamΓ©Thanks!

September 9, 2015 at 8:16 am #5827Hi!
Can you please check the login URL? It’s not working for me, I’m getting redirected back to the homepage. I also tried the login button on the top right corner, but it’s not working either. Thank you!
Best,
Ernest Marcinko

I tried again a few times both urls, but I’m getting redirected back to the front page π
Maybe you need my IP address for firewall exception?
Best,
Ernest Marcinko

September 17, 2015 at 8:34 am #5966Hi!
Sorry for the late response. Unfortunately I still can’t reach the login page π
I tried with a few different browsers and a VPN provider as well, to make sure it’s not my cache doing it, but it looks like it’s not. Can you check again please?
Best,
Ernest Marcinko

September 17, 2015 at 1:14 pm #5968Hello,
I contacted my hosting provider and he log in to my site without any issues, same thing for me. Can you tell me (in private) what is the log in page , username and password you used please? I also asked him if it’s possible that your ip has been blocked. He told me “I suppose that may be possible” So if you can provide me your ip I’ll contact them again for test. My email: [email protected]

September 17, 2015 at 3:24 pm #5971Finally I’m able to get to the login screen. I was always getting an under construction message, it must had been some aggressive caching or something.
1. I’m not sure if I get it right, but I tried the post and page search function on the back-end: https://i.imgur.com/4tnD1jt.png
To me these look all right. Let me know if this is what you meant.2. I selected:
Exact matches only
Search in title
Search in content
Search in posts
Search in pagesI just tried searching for “francis” and I got a good amount of results.
Then I tried “sfl” got these: https://i.imgur.com/ugtxyyU.png
Then I tried “francis brassard” without Search in content, because I saw there a post with his name in it, and I got it as result: https://i.imgur.com/yg6TCu8.png
Then I tried again “francis brassard” with the Search in content enabled: https://i.imgur.com/51ihWRR.pngBased on this it looks to me that it’s working correctly. Does the problem occur on another specific example?
Also, I turned off the attachment search to test these options, I guess you only want to search in posts and pages.
3.
– It was a CSS bug. The vertical options color was applied there, so I changed it to transparent as it should have been by default.
– It is not possible to change the spacing, it’s adjusted by the isotope script. Now there is a visible spacing, since the backround is finally transparent.
– The tick color is inherited from the default theme layout to match, the only way of changind that is to use custom CSS, like so:.searchsettings .option label:after {
border: 3px solid #00FF00 !important;
}Change the code color in the code above to your liking and add the code to the search instance options Theme Options -> Custom CSS panel.
4. It’s most likely theme related bug, or some javascript files are not loaded every time correctly. The results are presented as simple links to click on, so there is no way of any interference with the styling.
Let me know if you need anything more π
Best,
Ernest Marcinko

September 18, 2015 at 3:08 am #5974Oh great!!!!
1. Yes now the search in admin works π
2. If I don’t select “search in title” and “search in content”, why my posts can’t be found when “search in posts” is selected? It’s the same for pages. It looks like “search in title” AND/OR “search in content” must be selected to find something, is it normal?
3 and 4 ok thanks π
Three more questions…
A) Is it possible to put my categories in the order I want? Actually I think it’s determined by the ID. See printscreen.
B) When I click more results it indicates that i’m supposed to get for example 3 pages of results, when i click page 2, page 3 etc.. I always have the same result that my page 1, so unable to see more….
I have found that my link looks like this when I click “More Results”: http://www.mysite.com/page/1/?s=MyCategory&asp_active=1
When I click on page 2 I get this link: http://www.mysite.com/page/2/?s=MyCategory&asp_active=1 but the results are the same than page 1. However, if I delete the last part of the link “&asp_active=1 and I refresh the page, at that moment I see the results of my page 2. So is there a way that that my links look like this:
http://www.mysite.com/page/1/?s=MyCategory
instead of…
http://www.mysite.com/page/1/?s=MyCategory&asp_active=1
?
C) How can I hide one or more categories to be viewed on the panel. I know how to exclude categories from the advanced options, however they still appear on the panel. Ok they are unchecked but I’d like to completely hide those I don’t need like your demo under “good looking” http://demo.wp-dreams.com/?product=ajax_search_pro ?Sorry for all these questions. Your plugin is great but not very easy to setup ;).
Thanks a lot!!!!!
