ParticipantHi!
I have Ajax search pro and I am trying to make a search that shows buddypress member profiles when filtering by group types. I have tried to find a tutorial for this, but did not found it. Is there a tutorial for this?
Best regard,
Sanna

KeymasterHi,
I’m afraid there is no tutorial for it yet – I am not sure if it is possible. For user type results only filtering by custom fields is possible (since no other type of data is associated to them in default WordPress, only user meta). If the group names or IDs are somehow stored with each user, then it might be doable.
All I know, the BuddyPress groups are actually stored in a separate database table, so unless it somehow also stores at least the group ID as a metadata, then it is very likely not possibleSeptember 29, 2021 at 9:54 am #34924sanna16
ParticipantShame 🙁 So, buddypress members can not be filtered by profile fields?
This is basically the reason we got this plugin. If we can not use it, can we get our money back?Sanna

KeymasterSure, you can try opening the refund request here: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/202821460-Can-I-Get-A-Refund-
Although I can not promise it will be approved, as this is not an advertised feature.

ParticipantThank you. Maybe we can use it for something else, after all, the payment was a one-time payment not recurring.

ParticipantHi again!
I would like to ask if I can make a custom filter using profile fields so that by filtering profile fields the result is profiles?

KeymasterFor fields stored as user meta it is possible – however I am not sure in this case. I believe all profile fields are stored in a separate table, but you can try look for them when creating a filter: https://i.imgur.com/z3IZdL7.png
