For some reason, it is not replacing the default search on our site. Any ideas?

    Hi,

It means that the theme does not use the searchform.php (get_search_form) “method” to display the search bar at the desired location. The developer probably had a good reason to do so.

The only possibility in this case is to replace the search form manually, within the theme files directly. I usually suggest to contact the theme developer, but if you want, you can leave temporary back-end and FTP details, and I will try to locate the corresponding theme code.

    Hi,

    Thank you very much!

I have looked on most pages, but I see the plugin search bar everywhere, like so: https://i.imgur.com/Z5e4Hrz.png

Is it not present on a particular page? Can you please link me to it?

    Thank you!

    Good Morning Ernest,
Yes, I did get it to show up but I would much rather use the default themes search as it flows a bit better. But I disabled it for now as I keep seem to get it to work.

    Hi,

I thought the issue was resolved, I think I am missunderstanding something.

From what I understand, the problem was, that the plugin was not replacing the default theme search bar with the one that is created within the plugin back-end? But when I checked, the plugin search bar was visible everywhere (and it is now as well).

I guess then the problem is something else. Do you mean, that you want to keep using the default theme search bar, but have the results from this plugin? Because that is not possible unfortunately, as the plugin scripts will only work with the plugin search bar.

    Let me know!
