    Hi,

I have this weird situation where I have two almost identical search forms.
One is used in the homepage and the other in sidebars.

    homepage: https://ninjacharts.com
    sidebar: https://ninjacharts.com/vacancies-filled-internally/

For some reason, the one in the sidebar works correctly, whereas the one in the homepage does not.

You can use in both the word “cost” to see the difference.

Can you please find out what’s going wrong?

    Thank you,
    Laurent.

    Hi!

Sorry, I remember answering your ticket, but I guess the malfunctioning deleted few of my responses, including this one.

I’ve checked both urls, but the second one takes me back to the home page. Can you check if it’s correct?

    Sorry.
    Should be working now.
The search widget is in all posts sidebars.

Looking at the front-end the search configurations look very similar to me, but I’m not able to check the administrator area nor the files via FTP.

Can you please check both back-end and FTP account permissions? I’m suspecting some kind of minor difference in the configuration of the search instances. Once I get to debug the final queries, I will see what the problem is.

    Hi Ernest,

I sent you the admin and ftp credentials in private details.
    Didn’t your get it?

You should have an “admin” tab in the menu on the right.

    Hi!

Yes, I got the details and I can log in with both, but I cannot access the Ajax Search Pro submenu on the administrato area: https://i.imgur.com/U3HRQHc.png

Also, on the FTP I can log-in, but only an empty folder is accessible like so: https://i.imgur.com/vEl6SJv.png

I’m guessing some permissions are perhaps missing 🙂

    Sorry for that.
I fixed both and you should be able to see full admin and ftp.

    Hi!

Thank you, now it’s working fine 🙂

I’ve found the difference. The homepage search had the Category/Term logic set to “OR” (General Options -> Behavior panel). That forced the search to return elements only if they are at least in one of the selected categories or terms. I’ve changed it back to the default “AND” option, now it should work just like the widget.

    Awesome!

I expected it to be a small detail like that, but didn’t know where exactly to search.

    Thanks a million!
