Sorry I cannot provide you with FTP access.
We are hoping you can help us figure out why as we the have “Sponsor” custom field added in the settings, the search results are showing oldest posts first.
If you go to our site and put in “Renaissance Ribbons” into the search you get older posts first then the new ones. Is there way to ensure when searching for this custom field, that the newer ones show first?
January 13, 2021 at 2:51 pm #31118Hi,
By default, the primary ordering of the results is by relevance, and the secondary is by date descending. In this case, if you are seeing older posts first, then they are more relevant to the phrases than the newer ones. If you wish to always display the newest ones first, regardless of the relevance, you can change the primary ordering to “date descending”.
Best,
Ernest Marcinko

January 20, 2021 at 6:30 pm #31229Hi there – The link you shared is down. Looks like a Cloudflare or server issue.
I will attempt to locate the setting… thank you!January 20, 2021 at 6:35 pm #31230You know – I’m not seeing where this setting is located. Do you mind taking a look at my backend. I’m worried something is way wrong, as I do not see any of those blue button options in my menu for Ajax Search Pro:
