Only page title found

Hi.
I have a page which contains some URL’s in the form with <a href="xxx">Label</a>

When searching for Label, nothing is found.
But if I search anything from the page title, it’s found.

I’ve tried putting some text after /a, but that does not change anything.

What to do?

Can you check if the search in content and excerpts are enabled?
Also, make sure no filters are enabled here.

Yes, it is. And no filter, except on Post types (all selected).

And searching for page contents works for all other pages.

Okay – can you add temporary log-in details so I can check the config a do a few test searches?
Please also let me know which page I should try.

Hi.
We have a test page setup and I just found that if I use Index search, it works.
Is this because all links are external to the WP site ??

Ie. the same as trying to search external sites, which only works in iframes?

Hi,

It’s definitely not because of that. It’s more likely that the links are added via a hook or filter later on, and only visible on on the front-end after processing – so in the editor there is only a reference. That is very likely, so using the index table is probably a good idea in your case.
