ParticipantHi we are using the ajax search pro plugin on our website. But it do not work on Internet Explorer for some reason. I have tested to deactivate all other plugins but it still did not work, and i dont get any errors on the js consolelog either. Can you check if you can find out what the problem is.

KeymasterHi,
Thank you for the details. It seems like the issue was caused by an error in the console, which is coming from the product-enquiry-pro plugin directory, see: https://i.imgur.com/5pqyXWP.png
It might not be the direct cause though, as when I switched the plugin script from minified, to non-minified, it started working correctly on all browsers: https://i.imgur.com/lYPhwcd.png
It should be working correctly now, but I would still recommend investigating those remaining errors, just in case.March 21, 2019 at 2:54 pm #21736KGD2006
ParticipantIt still do not work for me in Internet Explorer. I have tried to clear the cache and uninstall the product-enquiry-pro plugin. But still no search results appears when i typing in the searchfield.

KeymasterHi,
May I ask, which version of IE are you using? I tried IE10-11 and Edge, but it’s working correctly on my end: https://i.imgur.com/2OZSQIC.png

ParticipantIt works for me in Edge to but not in internet explorer. I am using version 11. Can you post a printscreen where the searchresults works for you in Explorer as well?

KeymasterHi,
It indeed was not working correctly, I was checking on edge compatibility, and it is different.
The problem is, that some of the files seems to be corrupted. There are some invalid characters within the script files. If you copied the files to the server from your local installation, then the file encoding was probably incorrect. That explains the script issue with the other plugin as well.
Updating to the recent release will resolve this problem, as the files will be refreshed with the correct encoding.March 21, 2019 at 4:01 pm #21753Ernest Marcinko
KeymasterExample of incorrect encoding: https://i.imgur.com/fx66g3z.png
It looks like the newer browsers somehow manage to resolve it, but IE is not capable of that.March 21, 2019 at 4:50 pm #21754KGD2006
ParticipantDid you to anything on the site? Now it started to work for some reason, and i did not do anything.

KeymasterYes, I replaced the corrupted file, but I still recommend installing the latest update on the live environment.
