Pro plugin ajax search does not work and results not showing

We have used the “Ajax Search Lite” version before and now have upgraded to the “Pro” version. The free version works well.

It has the ajax loading and works fine. Screenshot attached.

We have created a new search called “Main Search” and have added this to the site using the “Replace the default theme search with: ” section. But when we do it, the search option gets replaced with the new search (we know this is replaced, because the styling of the box changes). We have disabled the free version after doing it as it is mentioned the free version should be deactivated.
But it does not auto load, nor the result page is accessible. Can you please get the Pro versions “Main search” get hooked to the site’s search function? It is located in the top menu, next to the Contact menu item.

Hi!

Thank you very much for the details. I have looked at the configuration, as well as how the search was replaced, and was able to resolve it. Basically, the plugin was not initialized, as it was ‘injected’ in real time, whenever the search menu button was clicked – so initially on the page load the search bar does not actually exist. To resolve this I have activated this option: https://i.imgur.com/0hTXZij.png

That will try to detect this late injection, and initialize the plugin accordingly. I have also changed the search bar width to 100% (from 30%) and disabled the auto populate feature to make sure it’s working correctly – just letting you know, in case you want to revers those changes.

It should be working now.
