    Hi,

i use htaccess protection for the wordpress backend (wp-admin directory). But when i am not logged in und i use the ajax search pro live search on frontend, the user/password window pops up after typing.

Is this behaviour normal? If so, how can i solve this problem?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Yes it is, because the WordPress ajax handler is within the wp-admin folder. I do not recommend this type of protection, as it will prevent all ajax requests executing fron the front-end, not just the search.
