ParticipantHi,
Im trying to get product filter where i use some taxonomys like brand, wheel inch and bolt pattern, example.
I disabled the search box(i dont need it).
General options -> source i added “products” in the post types.
Sources2 i have those custom taxonomies what i need.
Frontend search settings i have also the taxonomies selected what i need to show in the dropdowns. And the result is in the attachment picture. Some subcategories, and below them is few products which is not belong in the selected taxonomies…
What i do wrong? How i can see only products what is under the selected taxonomies ?

KeymasterHi!
It is very hard to tell without actually seeing the issue directly, but I have a few guesses:
1. By default, the plugin shows items that does not belong to any taxonomy. Make sure to turn off this option, if you don’t want that to happen: https://i.imgur.com/rDbBbhj.png
2. It is also possible, that changing the default filter logic may give you better results. Try changing this option to ‘At least one of the selected terms should match’.
3. Also, make sure that under the General Options -> Sources 2 panel there are no taxonomy terms selected to be returned as results, as the filter does not affect those: https://i.imgur.com/1JS1G9c.png
Let me know!

ParticipantHi, thanks for answer. That option 3 was one mistake on me but now, if i select one taxonomy dropdown value, i have answer ” No results”.
With that taxonomy, there is over 1000 products.Few pictures also.

KeymasterHi!
Thank you for the details, I think I have found the problem.
On the General Options -> Sources panel, there was no field selected for search, and because of a known bug, the plugin was not executing the query correctly. I have selected one of the options, it will have no effect on the filter: https://i.imgur.com/pbU3U5r.png
Now it should start working correctly as expected.

ParticipantHi, thank you, preview works now.
I tryed with plain shortcode and wpbakery, but result is blank page?
May 21, 2018 at 2:13 pm #17959Ernest Marcinko
KeymasterHi,
Instead of the ‘Settings shortcode’ try the ‘Search box’ shortcode, the settings shortcode is used to place the settings away from the search bar, but in this case the search bar is kind of merged with the settings.

ParticipantThat link in the picture wont work anymore 😛
I just thinking is it possible to get stock quantity in that custom description line?
May 21, 2018 at 5:41 pm #17964sprawl
ParticipantI find the the stock code already. But, how i can get pagination on vertical list? In isotopic i have that, but its weird looking when text is overide the image.
Can i pre set some filter values with GET parameters?
eample: https://mypage.com/searchpage.php?customtaxonomy_color=blue
Or somehow like that? And my biggest problem now is the way getting back to search results.
If i use it to show products, customer opens a product and then hit the “back” button, the search is reseted and you must search all again.May 22, 2018 at 2:29 pm #17976sprawl
Participantany solution about that remembering the search options?
May 22, 2018 at 4:40 pm #17978Ernest Marcinko
KeymasterHi!
The vertical results list cannot have pagination, it only supports a scrollbar solution. The pagination is only available for the isotopic layout.
Pre-defined values are not yet possible, but it is on the list of upcoming features.
Remembering the search values is actually possible. On the Compatibility Options submenu, enable this option: https://i.imgur.com/jEs5ym1.png
It is not perfect, but it should remember most settings/phrases and trigger the search whenever the back button is clicked on the browser.May 22, 2018 at 4:51 pm #17980sprawl
ParticipantOh, didnt noticed those extra settings.
Thanks a lot, good support, and plugin!May 22, 2018 at 5:28 pm #17981sprawl
Participantim still thinking what is the best choice for listing products.
If i use vertical; list is very good and have a lot of free space.
Cons: No automatic load more with ajax(?), there can be text “load more products”, but if you check first 50 products and hit show more, the list start on top and you dont know where you was going.If i use isotopic;
There is pagination, wich is the best solution for me to handle large product amounts.
Cons; text layer is top of image(can it be bottom of image?)Maybe some version in the future, there is pagination in vertical view 😉

KeymasterHi,
Thank you very much for your kind words and suggestions.
I am actually planning to add an ‘infinite scroll/pagination’ effect to the vertical and isotopic layouts as a replacement to the ‘load more’ results link. I have to work out the details yet – but it is definitely coming soon.
The isotopic layout needs a re-work as well. I am thinking of a feature that would allow a similar ‘card’ layout to the horizontal (picture + text below). Only one option should basically solve this – switching between hovering text/text below.
Definitely expect improvements in these fields in future releases.
