Redirect to results page

Hi,
i have read the section 6.3 on redirection and have followed the settings. What I am trying to do is this:

1.I have created a page called Search http://mlatc.org/search
2. I have a shortcode on the homepage slider that when entered will go to that /search page and show the results.

In the Redirect to url? field I entered http://mlatc.org/search

How do I get the results to show on this page?

Hi!

The option to enter a different URL only works if you have the correct permalink structure set up, or if you have the search page on a different url.

There are a few tutorials out there on how to do that, for example this one: http://wpengineer.com/2258/change-the-search-url-of-wordpress/

You will have to add extra functions and .htaccess rules to manage this redirection, but that tutorial works in most cases.
