I would like to display related posts AND products (Woocommerce) for each post/product page. I have set up the plugin and have it returning posts of the same type (posts-posts, products-products), but all of the places where I can select post types only show *custom* types, excluding posts, pages, and attachments.
How can I get the plugin to display related posts of different types? I thought perhaps there would be an action hook where I could change this, but there weren’t any examples in the knowledge base.

I’m not sure if I understand correctly, but if you want to show both posts and products within the same related posts pro instance, then all you need to do is select which post types you want on the Content Options panel: https://i.imgur.com/I1fSiFt.png

Okay, that’s helpful – I must have missed that in the *many* plugin options!
What I would like is to have 2 related posts and 2 related products, but I can’t control how many of each post type is returned within a single instance. I gather that I should just use 2 separate instances to get what I want.
Well, in that case I rather recommend using 2 instances if you can.
The search for related posts is done within 1 database query, so only the total number is adjustable per instance.
