    Hello,

I am having a strange relevance search problem on your tool. It is live on my website already (www.remapper.co.uk)
Please note that i am using index table as a search engine.
There are 2 search methods in my website.
    1. Theme’s woocommerce inbuilt search (you can find it next to our logo)
    2. Your tool.

For the following keywords, the theme search sends the accurte results related of that product but your tool seems to be failing on it, let me explain:

Keyword: Fiat Ducato, Fiat Ducato 2.3 Mjet , Fiat Ducato 160 hp
    1. Theme’s inbuilt search function returns accurate results.
    2. your tool is not even showing those products at all.
Please check it out on the website itself. (www.remapper.co.uk)

    Keyword: audi q7 2006, audi q7
    1. As usual theme’s inbuilt search returns accurate result
    2. your tool is atleast showing the result now but at the third position instead of first one.
Please check it out on the website itself. (www.remapper.co.uk)

    Keyword: harley davidson 103cu 2012
    1. As usual theme’s inbuilt search returns accurate result
    2. your tool is atleast showing the result now but at the 4th position instead of first one.
Please check it out on the website itself. (www.remapper.co.uk)

let me know if you need further information

    Hi!

It appears to me that your keyword logic is set to the default “OR” value, while I believe you need a more strict “AND” or “AND with exact keyword matches logic. You can change that on the General Options -> Behavior panel on the search instance options: https://i.imgur.com/JLBHHkA.png

A bit more information and explanation in the Search Logic and the Search logic explained section of the documentation.

Also, I see you have keywords below 3 characters (“q7”, “hp” etc..), whereas the default configuration of the index table ignores words below that threshold for generally better relevancy. However in your case this might cause the exact opposite. To change that go to the Index Table submenu on the Advanced Options panel: https://i.imgur.com/jzzicdV.png
Don’t forget to create a new index table after the change.

After these changes, for even better relevancy, you can fine tune the weight values on the search instance options Relevance Options -> Index Table panel: https://i.imgur.com/yq9avKc.png
It’s something to experiment with, but I usually suggest to increase the title relevance to 100 at first, to give the title keywords much better value. Then adjust the rest to this title value accordingly if needed.

    Hi,

I have experimented every possible way & your options, but it is just not returning the relevance results like the inbuilt search theme.
i have tried both your regular & search engines options but it is not working as we want.
can it be set with theme’s or WordPress’s default result search?

can you please tune it by yourself if possible.
the login details are already attached.

Basically i want results to be shown with the user’s every keyword relevance to top 4 positions just like the inbuilt theme’s search option

    Hi!

The problem was the keyword logic, it was still set to “OR” on the search instance options panel. I have changed that to “AND”: https://i.imgur.com/u6KL6w7.png

I can see much more relevant results now.
    “audi q7”: https://i.imgur.com/9twgeWH.png
    “fiat ducato”: https://i.imgur.com/SZG79mO.png
