Hello,
I was told by your people to open support ticket, so I’ll just paste what I asked here:
“Hey again,
I love your plugin, but still need some help with it:
So when I type in Birm it should show first result “Birmingham”
But this result is only in 8th position:

Could you please help me how can I solve it?Thanks a lot :)”
March 26, 2018 at 10:45 am #17267Hi!
Thank you for the details. The configuration seems to be all right. I have tried a few modifications, but for some reason the relevancy regarding the titles is not calculated correctly – in some cases it is reset to 0, but I don’t know why yet.
Can you please add temporary FTP access as well? I would like to debug the issue directly within the plugin code, to see where the information is lost, and correct it if possible.
Best,
Ernest Marcinko

Thank you very much for the details, it worked.
I have found the issue, it was a bug within the index table code, where the single worded post titles were not indexed separately as they should have – causing the problem with the relevance calculation as I presumed.
Best,
The bug was corrected, I also re-created the index table just to be sure. This fix will be included in the upcoming update of course, so you don’t have to worry about it anymore.
You should be seeing much more relevant results now.

March 26, 2018 at 1:09 pm #17276Thank you very much, but I saw that you removed some of my filters.
I have included only pages by certain dates, I think it was 2017 June to 2017 October or something very close to that.
Why have I done this?
Because when you type in Houston etc, it will also show other Houston’s subpages like wrecker service, roadside assistance and so on.
While I want it to show just a city and maybe nearest or interlinked cities…
March 26, 2018 at 1:14 pm #17277Hi,
Sorry, my fault, I have disabled that temporarily for testing. I have re-enabled it, it is now same as before.

March 26, 2018 at 1:25 pm #17278May I know what do you mean same as before?
When I type in Houston, it shows inner Houston’s pages as well… I am not 100% sure that they used to appear in the search?
But when I type in Birming it shows Birmingham with no problems 🙂
Thank you!
March 26, 2018 at 1:33 pm #17279The option value was not changed, I just disabled it temporarily. This is how it’s set now, like before: https://i.imgur.com/SpDLDnx.png
Best,
I only flipped the ‘On/Off’ switch above it, so the actual date values have not changed.
I’m only seeing results within that date range when I type in ‘houston’, so it should be working okay. The page ‘Wrecker’ was published at 22th, I’m guessing that changing the end date to 21st will do the trick.
