Resize search bar to fit mobile devices

Hello is there a way to resize the search bar so when I view my site via mobile divides its fit in the page? I figured resizing the bar would be it but could not figure it out.

Also if you look at my profile page you will see that the type in bar is covering the loading ball is there a way to fix that
