    Hi,
I’m having some problems to display the search results.
I’m using DIVI, but I tried with a default them and it still doesn’t work.
I’ve tried with Divi search page builder, pasting the shortcode in Code Module & Text Module
    I’ve tried with php code.
I’ve created a search.php basic template and pasted the shortcodes.
But non of these is working, it just shows the search bar, but not the results or the setting table.
I don’t know what else to try, so please if you could check what I’m doing wrong I’d be very gratefull.

    Thanks in advance!

PS: It is a staging site, but the problem is the same on the original site.

    Hi!

Thank you very much for the details!

I tried on the linked page, typed in “test” and I am seeing the results: https://i.imgur.com/okGpkMX.png

The results shortcode of the plugin is to place the live search results somewhere else on the same page, but not to replace the default theme results – that is fully controlled by the theme you are using.

If you want to have the search settings visible by default, you can set it here: https://i.imgur.com/CBFnmhU.png

    Hi,
thank you for your quick answer.
I think I misunderstood the purpose of these plugin and it doesn’t fit my actual needs.

    Two further questions:
    1. Is it possible that the plugin search results are the same as the plugin’s search results?
    I’m getting completely different things.

    2. Is it possible to hide or change the magnifier’s behavior in order not to take to the theme results page, but to run the live search.

    Thanks again!

    Hi,

    1. Sure, make sure the search override feature is enabled.

    2. Yes, you can change how the magnifier and the return buttons act here.
