    Hi,

    This is not a problem per se, more a “how to” question. I’m building a site for boats and yachts, where custom fields like length is important.

    I’m using, among others:
    * Elementor Pro
    * Advanced Custom Fields Pro (ACF Pro)
    * Dynamic Content for Elementor Pro (DCE Pro)

    Here’s my question: How do I get the (live) result into a DCE Pro Post Widget?

    I need this, as I need to show some of the custom fields – in this case length – in the result.

    Thx.

    Hi,

    Well, you can try the same method as the regular posts widget. If that widget has the same query triggers/hoosk, then there is a tiny chance it will work. If not, then I’m afraid there is no way of doing that. (without custom coding it from top down)

    I’ve tried that already. Didn’t work. Perhaps you could talk to the guys at Dynamic? They already did it for the Search&Filter plugin, which I have and changed for yours (as S&F gets really slow with 1000+ posts).

    I have an update on this. I found that using the Ele Custom Skin plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/ele-custom-skin/) and enabling the option “Live load the results on the results page?” in Ajax Search Pro, works well. The Ele Custom Skin plugin is an enhancement of the standard Elementor Pro Posts-widget, allowing it to use a custom template for showing the results.

    You can try it here: https://worldofsuperyachts.com/engines/ (try typing “cat”).

    However, the Dynamic Content for Elementor plugin, is a far better plugin, and I would still prefer the integration with them. But the above is a nice workaround for now.

    Thank you for letting me know, I will note this in case someone else runs into a similar issue.
