Hi,

It is a search bar set to compact layout. We placed it directly into the theme header file for the best possible placement – but some themes actually have widgetized or module areas in the header, where you can place the search shortcode. You can also try it as a menu element. Usually the best possibility is direct placement via editing the template header files. If you can do that, I recommend doing so.
