ParticipantWe customized teh search reults with custon fields in WP.
The checkboxes work fine but the serach box gives more results then the word we are searching for..
See attached screen, it shows 2 teams with the search word not in the custom field, but it still shows the team.March 29, 2019 at 11:38 am #21905Ernest Marcinko
KeymasterHi,
The word ‘AWS’ is present in the page content, for both of the items: https://i.imgur.com/tI2lqoB.png
If you don’t want to search based on the page contents, then you can disable the content/excerpt indexing under the index table options, then re-creating the index: https://i.imgur.com/nGwS2ea.pngMarch 29, 2019 at 12:08 pm #21909ckworld
ParticipantThanks!
And I activated the custom field in the “Index custom Field”
One more question, on the first printscreen I searched for “CSS” and “CCS” is nicely highlighted in red.
In the second printscreen I searched for “Lavarel” It Finds “Lavarel” but the result is not highlighted??
Is this because “Lavarel” is between ( ) ???

KeymasterHi,
Yes, it is because of the () characters, and it’s no longer considered as an exact match. I think if you change the highlight to match partials as well, it will work: https://i.imgur.com/tTmxxZq.png

KeymasterHi!
You can change the results limit under the General Options -> Limits panel: https://i.imgur.com/k09MVDj.png
Increasing that should do the trick.March 31, 2019 at 8:26 am #21921ckworld
