Thank you for the details. I checked the video, but it was only a couple of seconds long, and there was no search action going on there, only scrolling on the page.

Sure!

By default, in block layout the colors are inherited from the the theme stylesheets. You can use these custom CSS to change the background color as well as the label colors:

.asp_sb {
    background: white !important;
}

.asp_sb fieldset .asp_label,
.asp_sb fieldset .asp_option_label {
    color: black;
}

Apply this code to your theme custom CSS field (if it supports it) or use the custom CSS field on the search plugin back-end.
