Search by category

Hi,

I use woocommerce and I have products with multiple categories. I want display all items of a particular category. For eg. I have a category called – Baby foods and snack foods. In baby foods, I have infant formula and puffs. In snack foods, I have a sub category called nutrition bars.

When I enter Baby foods, I need all items under the category “baby foods” in the search result. When I use Infant formula, I need all the items in the category infant formula in the search result. Is this possible ?

Hi Kumar,

Sorry about the late response.

On the General Options -> Sources panel if you turn on the Search in terms option, then the plugin will search in related categories as well: https://i.imgur.com/gLgjfTs.png

If you need more specific matching you can either change the Keyword logic option to “AND” on the General Options -> Behavior panel (https://i.imgur.com/ltMECtD.png), or turn on the Show exact matches only option on the same panel: https://i.imgur.com/JgxfVbU.png
