Search in all categories while one is selected

Hi,

I have a question about the Search Filter Pro.
On my website, I’m using it as a download file manager. You can find it here: https://dev.jungundbillig.de/mcin/downloadportal/
Right now, it is possible to select between different categories, which works really well.

My problem is, that if I search something, the results in the output are only for the selected categories. Is it possible to have some categories selected and still search in all the files?

I tried to find this in the options but didn’t find something, nor the documentation or the troubleshooting page.

Hi Andrea,

Well, it could be doable, by using 2 separate search bars – one without the filters on top, and the other one with the search bar comletely disabled.
I would proceed like this:
– Leave the search you already have, and disable the search bar here: https://i.imgur.com/GGEKWSf.png
– Create a new search bar (without any filters), and put it’s shortcode before the existing one.

I tried this out and it works pretty well, now I will see if our client likes this solution as well.
