Search is not allowing part number search..

we have been trying to utilize the _sku option for search but anytime it is enabled it simply hangs up the search on the front end.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I disabled the logins, due to the ftp login triggering a 2 gig quota issue. Can you explain?

I would love some support, but would also like to know why the FTP login credentials warned me of the quota of 2gb being exceeded in just a few minutes?

Hi Chris,

This is the first time your topic is viewed. The FTP quota calculation is probably incorrect, as we have never used or seen those details. Please note that we answer as soon as possible during our work hours. Also note, that the ticket you are reffering to was answered 7 hours before yours was opened (yours was opened at 8:25PM at our local time).

If you have lots of products and lengthy SKUs, then enabling SKU search might be too much for the server to handle. I would suggest trying the index table engine instead. It will index the fields you need, then it will use a much more optimized query on the index, to prevent any performance caveats:
– Index table introduction
– Index table configuration
– Enabling the index table

That will very likely resolve the issue, if it was a performance problem.
