search missing results from categories – ordering results issues

hi,
please have a look at my results page for the term ‘burger’
there should be posts shown from each category for this term.
– posts (newsfeed) field roast products, lightlife products and then recipes.

it seems as though as soon as i toggle ON the option called:
“Use separate ordering for each post type group?”
the results are missing for two of the categories.
I’m not sure why this is.
I’m simply trying to get the results to list in a group order like this according to their custom post type:
posts
field roast product
product
recipe

any help is appreciated.

Based on your response to a different forum user, i was able to adjust the Logic & Behavior options and now i’m getting expected results across all post types, however i still need some help to understand how /where to place results in the desired order.

Hi,

When the grouping is enabled, the ordering of the results is based on the selected groups order here: https://i.imgur.com/FtcxPK6.png
Just make sure the “Reorder groups by highest priority and relevance in results?” option is disabled as I highlighted on the above screenshot.
