    Hi,

I’m very happy with how Ajax Search Pro searches different types of content : Woocommerce products, categories and posts. I would like the search results page to essentially replicate this. How is that done?

Also, I suppose I might be able to use another plugin to then let users further filter items according to given parameters. Can you suggest what would work with Ajax Search Pro.

    All help much appreciated,

    Dan Goren

    Hi Dan,

There is a live results page loader feature – while it is an experimental feature, it may actually work with your theme as well. Another possibility is using elementor products/posts widget as a custom results page on a custom page.

Combining more search/filter plugins together usually does not work, since one plugin will override the other and vice versa. I am not aware of any combination of plugins at the moment that would work together that way.

    Best,

    Hi Ernest,

Thanks for getting back so quickly. Yes, I’ve tried the live results page loader and it does work with my storefront child theme, however that doesn’t solve the problem of the formatting of that page – i.e. to be subdivided into different types of result. I did start to check out elementor’s custom results page and will continue down that route or try coding the default results page to do as I wish.

I had wondered whether combing further filtering would be a problem and might get back to you if I find a combination that works.

    Many thanks

    Dan
