I would really like to add your search to a popup or fullscreen overlay on my website. Is this something that is possible in the current version?
Just to give you an idea of what I am looking for, I want something similar to the search function on wpbeginner.com. When someone clicks the “search” button, a popup or possibly a fullscreen search overlay appears.

Hi,
I’m afraid that is not possible. The closest feature is the compact layout mode. If the layout is fixed, then it is possible to set a background overlay as well. It is the same as the search on the sidebar on our demo site.
