I develop a page for a recording studio with a speaker search – there’s a CPT ‘speakers’ with 9 taxonomies and a lot of related categories.
I was able to set up the form and settings to my needs (search only post-type ‘speakers’ and the taxonomies/categories), did all what I was asked for before starting a ticket, tried a lot of different settings, but the search results are not working properly:
No matter what conditions and settings I choose, the results are always the same…
Try e.g. only “Geschlecht” (gender) > “weiblich” (female) – first result-page is okay and mostly as it’s supposed to be, but it’ showing then simply everything… 63 result-pages, always, no matter what I search for, including that pages are shown…
    I’m stuck.
I hope you can bring some light in the dark.

Thanks a lot – best regards

    Markus

    Hi Markus,

Can you please check if the search override feature is enabled? That might fix the issue.

    Hi Ernest ,

thanks for your answer and spending your time with my problem.

I tried this already, method get as well as method post.
the result is different but it’s not to be used:
it shows the few categories of “Stimmalter” (voice age), although “return post categories as results” is switched off, and then 10 more different, that’s all.

    Hi Markus,

I checked all of your configuration, it seems to be perfectly fine. Then I enabled the search override again, but it seems like there is something wrong witht the query there, as it is not recognized as a search query. I have enabled this option to bypass that: https://i.imgur.com/EjjVZ6p.png
Now it should give you the results based on the filters.
