    Hi,

I am finding that on my Search Results page template (Twenty Twenty Five Theme), if I choose the Query Loop setting as “Default” the search works fine if i hit Enter key on the search instead of selecting the ajax result. But using Default, I cant control how many posts i want to show and other settings.

If I change the Query Loop setting to Custom, then the Search Results page doesnt work and shows all the Posts in descending order ignoring the search term.

I have tried this with both default Query Loop Block and Advanced Query Loop Block and result is same.

Can you please look into this?

    Thanks,
    Prad

TEsted this with default WP Search Block and same behaviour. Looks like an issue with Query Loop

Yes, that’s exactly what I was about to say. But I think this is the expected behavior though. Using “custom” as the source, you are basically telling the query loop to use the custom query, and not the archive (current) one – so it’s doing the right thing. I strongly believe this is how it’s supposed to work, but you may want to ask Elementor support to confirm.
