Search returns 404

I installed the plugin, but when I try to search I get a 404 error. I tried to revert my theme to one of the WordPress defaults to see if it’s a theme related issue, but the same 404 occurs. Can you assist?

I de-activated our plugin to test if the issue happens then, and I found that no matter what search phrase I enter, I am seeing the same page when searching: https://i.imgur.com/FWBLC0B.png
Unfortunately this means, that the issue is unrelated to the plugin.
