ParticipantHi,
I’d like to be able to use this to search pages, which seems easy enough as you can select the content type as “Pages”.
However, I’d like to search the pages by custom fields. But on the custome fields section it only allows me to search for custom fields in “post meta” and “user meta”. Does that mean I can search by custom fields on pages?
Thanks
Kev

KeymasterHi,
Post meta is the same as custom fields in this case – any custom field for any post type, including pages.
If you want to search and return pages/posts/any cpt by custom fields, then you are looking for these options. The one on the screenshot are for the front-end filters, which is different.

KeymasterThank you! I’m afraid the same issue happens there as well: https://i.imgur.com/mycKhMv.png
The process has no permissions to make edits to the files unfortunately.May 27, 2020 at 8:46 pm #27613kevward2580

KeymasterHi,
Thank you very much, I was able to find the problem.
There is another field group under the ACF options, which was in the trash. When requesting the field options from ACF, it returned the one that was “trashed”, and so no valid options were returned. Once I restored the group from the trash, it started working again.
It has the same field names, so that is probably the issue. You can leave that group as it is, or perhaps delete it permanently, to aviod the field name duplicates.June 1, 2020 at 4:55 am #27652kevward2580
