    Hi there,

I am trying to see if there is a possibility to search blog posts by specific ‘authors’ or ‘users’. So if I typed ‘John’ – it would come up with all posts that he’s created. I know there are options for showing ‘users’ in the results – but this just shows the users bio and name etc rather than the post they’ve created.
So I just wondered if it was possible to search for a specific author/user and for all the relevant posts to appear.

I couldn’t see an option for this anywhere in the plugin and would appreciate your help!

    Thanks

    Hi,

It is possible via using the index table engine.
You can choose to index the post authors as well as their bio here: https://i.imgur.com/XX8IDtm.png

There is one thing, make sure the index table is indeed enabled.
Also, make sure the results limit is set to a high enough number, by default the plugin only shows the 10 most relevant ones: https://i.imgur.com/57v8Lk6.png

    Thank you!

There were a few filters enabled, but not in use – those still have effect though. I cleared them all, and did a few test searches. Searching “David Hancock” now returns the missing two items as well (if you scroll down): https://i.imgur.com/X5fhvW9.png
    Can you please test?

Sure! I gone through the filters section one by one, an removed all of the items I could find: https://i.imgur.com/37WnYYc.png
