I don’t have access to the ftp, but I’m hoping you might be able to take a look without it.
I installed the plugin to this page: http://www.bvu-optinet.com/index.php/search-site
I installed this plugin to the site and it started spinning with no response. I changed the javascript thing per the instructions and that made it refresh the page with the search string after it, with no results (most often a more details button would appear with a link to itself).
After a while, I just installed it on a test site that I have and it worked great. So, it seems to be isolated to this wordpress site and server.
I’ve turned plugins on and off to see if there were any conflicts as well as switched themes. No luck.
I do notice that the fulltext search feature isn’t working due to myislam tables being disabled. I’m not sure what this means or if it’s causing the issue or not. I was trying to get the search menu to work vertically like in the demo I setup as a test. It is at http://www.thelonedesigner.com/demo2/sample-page .
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
May 21, 2015 at 9:55 am #4813Hi!
I’ve found the problem. Since the site uses an older wordpress version, there was a missing function name I didn’t know about. I’ve disabled one line in the search plugin, it should work fine now 🙂
Best,
Ernest Marcinko
