Set up search as https://ajaxsearchpro.com/filters-without-search-bar/

I need to set up a search as the first that appears at https://ajaxsearchpro.com/filters-without-search-bar/.

This should replace the search that actually appears at https://www.aiach.org.ar/extras/?page_id=1125 but I do not find how to do it.

Hi Jimena,

The search bar on that page uses date filters, as well as taxonomy term filters and a single custom field fitler as well. This differs for ever configuration, but these documentations will contain everything you need to know:
– Taxonomy term filters
– Custom field filters
– Date filters

Thank you, it is working now.

I see the issue, the problem is, that all of these terms are within the same taxonomy (category), so they are displayed under one drop-down. They cannot be separated into different drop-down filters, for that, they have to be in a separate taxonomy.

It still does not work. Please I need a solution asap!

As you can see at https://www.aiach.org.ar/?page_id=1142, even if all the topics that appears at the dropdows are differet categories, it shows all in just one dropdown (it should be one drop down per category). Obvioulsy, it is set “Separate filter boxes per taxonomy”.

I need a quick solution or a refund of my money.

Hi Jimena,

But they are in the same taxonomy (category). Items from the same taxonomy cannot be separated into different drop-downs. A parent category is not a separate taxonomy. Separate taxonomies are for example: category, post_tag, product_category etc..

If you want to create taxonomies, you can either do that programatically, or use a plugin – like PODS or similar.

I installed PODS as you recommended me to, and I guess it starting to work (but it is really hard and does not work properly yet).

The problem that appears now is that, as you can see at https://www.aiach.org.ar/?page_id=1142 if I select any of the options that appears there (Desbridamiento enzimático / Adhesivos quirúrgicos) it shows “Iruxol” as result but, actually, it should only show Iruxol if you select “Desbridamiento enzimático”, as you can see in the printscreen attached.

But, also, if after this you deselect both check boxes, it still shows “Iruxol” as resultad.

Because that post is not within any of the “principio-activo-herimecum” taxonomy, and you want at least one to match from each taxonomy.

Now it actually shows “Iruxol” as result when you select “Desbridamiento enzimático” and it is not shown when nothing is selected. But the problem persists when both checkboxes are selected (“Desbridamiento enzimático” and “Adhesivos quirúrgicos”). You can check it yourself here: https://www.aiach.org.ar/?page_id=1142
This is not correct because “Adhesivos quirúrgicos” is not a taxonomy selected for “Iruxol” as you can see in the print screen that I attach here again.
If both checkboxes are selected, it should NOT show Iruxol as result.
I wait for a solution.

I just checked the back-end, but I don’t see those taxonomies anymore for the item “Iruxol”. I guess you switched to custom field filters?
