Hi,
I have installed and used the plugin successfully on my local version.
Since uploading to my test server I have installed it successfully but I’m unable to get to the settings page of a search bar without timing out.
I tried disabling all plugins except Ajax Search and the issue is still happening. I tried again on the live site and still the same issue. I tried changing the theme to Twenty Seventeen and it’s still not working. This link:
http://test.thedenizen.co.nz/wp-admin/admin.php?page=asp_settings&asp_sid=1This error:
The test.thedenizen.co.nz page isn’t working
test.thedenizen.co.nz unexpectedly closed the connection.
ERR_INCOMPLETE_CHUNKED_ENCODINGAny help would be amazing.

January 25, 2017 at 10:53 am #11712Hi Pablo,
My guess is that during the output process something gets into an infinite loop and the browser cuts off the output completely. Unfortunately there is no error message to refer anywhere, so I’m don’t know where yet.
The only thing I can do here is to debug the code step-by-step to find where exactly the issue originates, and patch it, but I will need temporary FTP access for that. Can you please update your ticket with FTP details?
Thank you!
Best,
Ernest Marcinko

January 26, 2017 at 12:05 pm #11731Hi Pablo,
Thank you for the details, I was able to find the issue.
Due to the high number and content of custom fields, the field selector was malfunctioning. I’ve changed the query that parses the field names, and now it should run smoothly.
I’m going to re-work the custom field related selectors for the next release anyways, so you won’t have to worry about this when updating. For now, just copy over the wp-content/plugins/ajax-search-pro/ folder to the live environment, and it should work.

FYI – I just updated to 4.10.1 and had the same issue again. I have reverted back to the version you modified for me.
Thanks
February 16, 2017 at 11:25 am #11974Hi,
I honestly don’t understand how. I must have missed something, but I can’t find any traces of the old custom field selection. I must have missed it somewhere.
Would you mind if I took another look? I would like to update and then de-bug again via FTP to find where I made the mistake.
Best,
Ernest Marcinko

February 16, 2017 at 11:26 am #11975Yep – no worries. FTP should still be the same.
Happy to help if you need anything else.
February 16, 2017 at 11:35 am #11976Hi Pablo,
I just installed version 4.10.1 manually on the test.thedenizen.co.nz URL, and it appears to be working for me. Can you confirm?
I suspect that the update process might have failed at some point, causing the problem. It should be okay now.
Best,
Ernest Marcinko

February 16, 2017 at 11:40 am #11977Hi Ernest,
Perfect. I just updated manually on the live site http://www.thedenizen.co.nz and it works fine again.
Must have been something to do with the update process.
