Hi guys,
I’ve using the settings panel displayed in a separate widget with Elementor. I got it to work on escapecadet.com/accommodations, but now I’m trying to use it on my shop page.
I’ve displayed the shortcode properly on the website, but it won’t appear. You can view this issue at escapecadet.com/shop — the shortcode should be showing a settings panel on the left hand side.
I’m using a custom post type for the shop page. Not sure if this effects the shortcode display. Any ideas as to what might be causing this? Have you run into a problem with the shortcode not displaying in the past?
Used both shortcode settings with and without ‘div’ attached.
April 15, 2020 at 10:29 am #26743Hi,
I think the problem is, that you don’t have the search bar on the page anywhere, at least I can’t see it. The settings shortcode works in combination with the search bar – to move the settings outside of the scope of the search, not individually.
If you only want to display the settings, then turn on this option, and then simply use the search shortcode, not the settings shortcode. That way the search is hidden, and the settings are visible.

So I’ve done that, but now the shortcode will only display when previewing the page on Elementor. When I check the live page, it still will not display.
I attached a screenshot showing how it displays on preview. To see it not display live, you can visit escapecadet.com/shop. Tried clearing the cache on my browser but to no avail.
I’ve made an admin account for you :

Thanks, I checked, and still the old shortcode was in use: https://i.imgur.com/zebR7Zg.png
Best,
I changed that to the search shortcode, now it is all right.

Glad I didn’t make things too challenging on you — thank you for the speedy help! Really appreciate it.
April 16, 2020 at 6:06 pm #26784It does look like there’s still a selector issue, however.
While using the filter options on the search shortcode, it doesn’t property filter the results in the Elementor widget. Do you know why that may be?
April 17, 2020 at 8:02 am #26790Are you using the native elementor Posts widget? Because that does not look like that from looking at the source – it looks like some sort of an extension widget to Elementor. Those may work very differently, if they use different filters than the built-in elementor posts widget, then it won’t work.
Best,
Ernest Marcinko

April 17, 2020 at 8:25 am #26792It is not the native Elementor post widget, it’s provided by Dynamic.ooo
I’ve tried different selectors, but it hasn’t worked. Bummer to hear that there isn’t a workaround with that.
