    Hi Ernest,

I bought your related posts plugin, too 🙂
    Now I have a question:
is it possible to only show related pages from the actual category (and sub-category) ?
So to show related pages from this category and beneath categories ?

    Best Regards,
    Markus

    Hi,

It is possible for posts, but I’m not sure if this will work for pages as well.

On the Relevance Options -> Categories & Taxonomies section you can define this: https://i.imgur.com/o9FYJlH.png

    Hi Ernest,

thank you for the image. But I don’t get it to work.
The javascript doesn’t work and it shows me (in firebug console) an error called:
TypeError: $(…).relatedpostspro is not a function

Can you please have a look what’s the problem ? I have tried different settings in the compatibility menu but didn’t get it to work.

    Many Thanks…

    Best Regards,
    Markus

    Hi,

The problem is caused by a 3rd party plugin, which apparently moves the scripts into a loader into the site footer: https://i.imgur.com/oU5B8It.png

This is a known technique, but it doesn’t work with most plugins, just like with related posts pro – because many of them need additional inline scripts to load with the correct parameters. Unless the minification plugin detect and move inline scripts from the header, it’s not going to work properly.

I have fixed the issue by adding a 4 second timeout to the loading script to wait for the main script, but that’s not the most elegant solution to handle this.

    Best,
