Synonyms word not working with WooCommerce product category

Dear Support team,

I am using the Synonyms feature of your plugin: https://lux-top-absturzsicherungen.de/wp-admin/admin.php?page=asp_index_table#5
This is my keyword ‘geländer’, and this is the Synonyms words ‘seitenschutzsystem, seitenschutzsysteme’ that I wanted to match. The Synonym looks working fine for the WordPress pages and WooCommerce products, but it’s not working for the WooCommerce category pages.

When someone searches with the ‘geländer’ word, then I want to display this woocoemrce category page: https://lux-top-absturzsicherungen.de/produkte/seitenschutzsysteme-zur-absturzsicherung/ Unfortunately, this page is not showing with this Synonyms word. If I do a normal search with this keyword ‘seitenschutzsysteme’, then the category is showing, but with the synonyms, it’s not working.

Hi,

I’m afraid it is because synonyms are only supported for post type results. For users, taxonomy terms and other result types is not yet possible, I’m sorry.

Do you have any plans in the future to allow taxonomy for the synonyms search as well in the plugin?
I purchased this plugin mainly for the Synonyms feature, and, sadly, it doesn’t cover everything.

Yes, definitely. We eventually want to move it to a separate menu with a possibility to select which result types the synonyms should apply to.

Most likely the next minor version, likely 4.28, but I don’t have a timeframe on it yet.

Hi,

Very soon actually! Version 4.29 is getting ready to be released in ~1 week, in which the synonyms is moved to a separate menu item with a new UI. It will feature taxonomy term result synonyms too.
