ParticipantHi there,
I want to create a simple search based on taxonomies.
I have 2 custom taxonomies (video_country & video_city)in my search I want only these 2 to be indexed. The results should show these. when selected it should navigate the user to that taxonomy page.
I’ve tried but can’t figure it out. Thanks for your help.

KeymasterHi Melvin,
You can enable taxonomy term search under the General Options -> Sources 2 panel.

KeymasterI logged in to check, and found the problem. The grouping feature was enabled (to group by categories), but that basically excluded everything, because the “other results” group was turned off. I turned off grouping, it should be all right now.

Participantthanks very much for that! this was indeed the issue. now I’ve placed the search in my frontend but it does not take the styling that you see in the backend. what could be the cause of this? I checked this article already but didn’t resolve it: https://wp-dreams.com/knowledge-base/some-elements-look-different-weird-margins-paddings-width-etc-what-to-do/

KeymasterCan you please link me to a page, where the plugin search is visible? I cannot see it on the front page anywhere.

KeymasterIt looks all right to me here: https://i.imgur.com/nE8Ikgg.png
You have a lot of different caches active. Make sure to clear everything – page, minify, assets, CDN, browser. That will do the trick.July 14, 2020 at 2:29 pm #28458MelvinWPDreams81
