Taxonomy terms multiselect options join in query by or instead of and

This is more a feature request or question if its already possible but I could not find any solution or information on that topic.

When I use the “Multiselect with search” option for taxonomy terms I realized that the multiple options are joined with the logical operator “and”. So only posts are shown which have set all selected terms. Is there a way to join them by “or” and display all posts that have either one or multiple terms set of the ones selected in the filter?

I found that post but I’m curious if it would be also possible in the multiselect as I like its design more.. 😀

Yes, this option should apply to the multiselect values as well (even though the name suggest checkboxes only).
