Steps:
1) Open Firefox browser.
2) Go to the ajax search engine and try to type a word. For example: addiction
3) Firefox displays an error which is also visible in the console.Attachments:

The ajax requests are redirected incorrectly on your server
1. The initial ajax request returns a status of 302, which means it’s redirected: https://i.imgur.com/bdY2iIL.png
2. It initiates another 2 requests to the same file (???) and returns the whole page as result, thus no event handlers were executed: https://i.imgur.com/8ydhcnw.pngYou probably have an incorrect or malfunctioning .htaccess configuration file, or one of the rules is redirecting incorrectly. I recommend checking that, or reverting it to the default.
Best,
This can be caused by the virtual hosts file as well on your server configuration, however it’s most likely a .htaccess related issue.

May 17, 2016 at 11:01 am #8701Hi,
I have changed the content of .htaccess file during the configuration of my website as Multisite. The reason to do that is because during the configuration I was given a new .htaccess file. In fact, the content is the default content provided by WordPress following their instructions. Can you please help with this?
Best,
