What is the best way to translate or show a translatable string as placeholder in the search box.

I know I can change the text for the placeholder here, but where to translate it?: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qgw3mbqapynt065/search1.png?dl=0
I see there is no POT file present in the plugin folder?

    Hi,

.po file would not help, because that text is dynamic (it can be changed) and .po files can only hold static text translations.

It can be translated either with Polylang or WPML String translations plugins, please see: Translating components

Found it in WPML, however it seems my base strings EN are set to NL , so I can’t translate the text correctly. Why is that?
It shows the NL language as default while it should show EN as default.

Nevermind found it, I should enter the default string as EN 😉
