Hi,
I really want to translate “Search here…” as that is the placeholder in the search input. However, it seems that I should hardcode it in the plugin files?
Really a shame for such a great plugin i think.
Can you shed some light on this issue?
Kind regards!
November 27, 2017 at 4:32 pm #15642Ah, I saw the documentation by now: https://wpdreams.gitbooks.io/ajax-search-pro-documentation/content/translating_components/translating_with_polylang.html
However I am using Loco Translate plugin.
November 27, 2017 at 4:41 pm #15643Hi,
It is fortunately not hard-coded, it can be changed really easily on the back-end under the Layout Options -> Search box layout panel: https://i.imgur.com/1auPO3O.png
If you are using a multi-language environment then using WPML String translations or Polylang it can be translated as a dynamic text as well. The string name to look for is ‘Search bar placeholder text’: https://i.imgur.com/6oBeetH.png

November 27, 2017 at 4:47 pm #15644Let me check if there is any way to register strings for translation with the ‘Loco translate’ plugin as well.
