ParticipantHi
I have a couple of questions on the Ajax Search Pro.
In the enclosed picture:
1. Where do I translate this “No results for…” text into Swedish?
2. When it says “No results for…” like here (in Swedish), how can I instead of that get suggestions down here?
Not in the enclosed picture:
3. If I import synonyms, how should they be formatted?
4. I s there somewhere in the admin where I can see unsuccessful searches? those are really the most interesting ones.
Thanks for helping out.
Regards,

KeymasterHi,
1. You can change that text here: https://i.imgur.com/84avGwN.png
2. The text can be changed as seen on the previous screenshot on point 1. You can also enable/disalbe the keyword suggestions.
3. By default the feature is to be used to export existing synonyms and then import, but you can also use a CSV file structured like this:
word1,synonym11,synonym12,synonym13 word2,synonym21,synonym22,synonym23The first word is the original, the rest are the synonyms for each line. Note, that you can’t use phrases from multiple words, each one has to be a single keyword.
4. I’m afraid that is not possible to check, the plugin does not keep track of the number of results in relation to the keywords.

ParticipantIf I search, hit Enter and there are no results, this text is displayed instead of the results -> “It looks like we can’t find what you’re looking for.” See image.
Where can I change that text?
Thanks

KeymasterHi,
That is not coming from the plugin, the results page text and layout is controlled by your theme. Try looking at the theme customizer or the theme options, usually you can find this text there.

ParticipantAnother question, since a few days some words yield no search results, even though I have posts including these words.
One example is “Postafen” – no results on the web site but 5 results in the backend.
Another is “Desloratadin” – no results on the web site but 21 hits in the backend.
Any clue to this? Thanks.

KeymasterHi,
It can be a number of things, it is hard to tell only by screenshots. Can you check the back-end login details? I will check your configuration, but I was not able to login.

KeymasterThank you!
The issue is caused by incorrectly set keyword exceptions here: https://i.imgur.com/MZjdLKM.png
The keyword “ta” is going to be replaced in every search keywords, so “postafen” becomes “posfen”, which will match nothing.
I believe you want those keywords rather in the Keyword exceptions – replace whole words only box.January 20, 2023 at 3:48 pm #41013fredrikhed
ParticipantHa ha – thank you for that 🙂
Have a great weekend

ParticipantCould it also be possible to add these words as stop words?
January 21, 2023 at 1:00 pm #41025Ernest Marcinko
KeymasterThis option acts as basically stop-words, as it will ignore them.
If you are using the index table engine you can also use the stop-words feature, so the keywords are not indexed in the first place.
