Wondering how I can search only a single page.

    Case use:
I am building a FAQ page with over 100 questions and answers. It is a long page, therefore I would like to make use of a search function. A user should be able to search for a question and if any relevant questions are available, selecting it should scroll down the page to that specific question.

How would this be achieved using Ajax Search Pro?

    Thanks much,
    Matt

    Hi Matt,

Unfortunately this is not possible with Ajax Search Pro. The search can only distinguish items which are actually separate rows (objects) in the database. In this case however the complete page is one single object, therefore it would only return it as a single result.

You probably need some kind of simple javascript search/highlight engine, which navigates to anchors on the page. Unfortunately I don’t think that such thing exists, because there is no uniform way of creating a script which works on all possible sites.

    Best,
