Hi Ernest, I finally found this ‘Reset Button’ option.

I noticed that only the setting ‘Trigger the live search’ at ‘Action after pressing the button & reset’ will uncheck all the boxes, but also clear out the search term.

Is there a way to uncheck all the boxes but leave the search term in its place?

Ah, that’s too bad … I really thought it was possible.

OK Thank you for pointing this out. I’ve now changed the box header to the main category so to speak.
What I’m actually looking for is a way to get every parent category shown as a box header in between all the child categories (like in my previous screenshot).

Is that possible at all or should I then make search instances for each and every parent category separately? And use all the shortcodes below each other in the sidebar? Will that work at all, I’m wondering…?

Ernest, never mind… I see that it’s working correctly lining to the media files… but that I presumed that the results showed the pdf’s but those were posts that were created (I’m not sure how but maybe with an import I did earlier this month).
