First solution with checkbox logic doesn’t work.
Second one solution I can’t exclude category because there is no empty category.

Cool thank you very much. Working very good and even searching is faster.
Last thing. “Choose one/Any option” should show only pdf’s from categories added to dropdown ? I have feeling that it shows all pdf’s.

Thank you seems it working for specific categories but I had to increase memory_limit in php to 2gb. Also I have around 600 pdf’s in all categories on prodction website and when I search in all it showing only 237 pdf’s from 600 is there any other limit ?
You can check on test page if you select all categories search result shows 188 files but should show 277.

I did as you suggested and re-indexed the tables with the external media service but unfortunately it didn’t help.
What I noticed is that after disabling Index PDF file contents and re-indexing the table categories is working perfectly.
I can give you access to test page where I uploaded and categories same pdf files and you can recreate problem.

Maybe thats helps also in screen there is my category view.
RAPORTY is a group with all pdf’s so pdf’s from all other groups are in that group. Maybe there is problem.
PDF’s were uploaded to wp-content/uploads/PDF to subdirs with years and group names. Then were imported by plugin to media library.

Problem is only with Index table engine. I’m also see many errors in nginx error log during create new index table you think it can cause problem ?

Another thing when folder with PDF is not included in Media Files Search after I click some category to search it shows same number of not categorized pdf’s from outside that folder for all categories.
